In Stitches

Standard

Did you know that it used to be illegal for women to crochet?  I find it one of my most theraputic hobbies, and I would have been a criminal to be sure.  It’s so soothing.  To do, and to watch.  As a matter of fact, that is why it was made illegal.  Well, men could crochet. After all they had the fishing nets to repair.  (Crochet double standard, not cool.)

It seems that to watch someone crochet was so mesmerizing, that it could put the watcher into a trance-like state, giving she in control of the hook all power over that being who watches.  If only that were true.  I’d get this Rottweiler to bark out the Star Spangled Banner, Hendrix-style.  Just sayin’.
